Summary

The Data Operations Manager is a key member of the Product Team who manages the data vendor acquisition and life cycle process which is critical to the success of DemystData. This role supports the data vendor acquisition, onboarding and business optimization processes by partnering with Business Development, Customer Success, Legal, Data Engineering and vendors / partners.

  • Manage data vendor evaluation, onboarding, & relationships in collaboration with finance, sales, & client delivery
  • Implement and manage the data acquisition pipeline & process – primarily concentrating on the North American, South American and European markets.
  • Identify traditional & emerging data vendors & evaluate them against due diligence requirements
  • Ensure that new vendor sources, diligence, & negotiation timing aligns with client delivery requirements
  • Communicate & project manage with internal and client legal and infosecurity teams to review security policies and processes
  • Work with new business development and client implementation teams to:
    • Follow process to align data vendor onboarding project with client go live implementation timeline
    • Maintain & refine templates to establish data dictionaries, catalogs, and data libraries from data vendors, refining fields in collaboration with data scientists
    • Ensure that data libraries, dictionaries, catalogs are organized, centralized, & highly usable for sales or client-side buyers
    • Operate as a data subject matter expert to assist client delivery & sales in order to align data sources with customer problem statements enhancing value delivered to customer
  • Support the Director of Data Access in building a channel ecosystem through commercially oriented relationships with strategic partners
  • Travel may be required up to 20% of the time
  • Track & iterate based on lagging success indicator: level of client buy-in that we are trusted data stewards

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BA/BS from a top university, MA/MSor equivalent experience preferred
  • 2-4 years work experience in consulting, business development or client facing technology product management or development
  • Strong structured problem solving & analysis
  • High learning agility with hands-on style
  • Advanced stakeholder management; consultative collaboration skills (strong relationship building & personal accountability)
  • Advanced project management expertise
  • MS Office (Powerpoint / Word / Excel) Proficiency

Preferred:

  • Knowledge or familiarity of data modeling fundamentals or terms
  • Exposure to statistical software tools
  • Familiarity with API integration
