DemystData was excited to be revealed as one of the eight startups to graduate from this year’s New York FinTech Innovation Lab. Founded by Accenture and the Partnership Fund for New York City, this 12-week program included intensive product and business-development advice as well as mentoring from senior financial industry, technology and venture capital executives.

The program culminated on June 22, 2017 with its annual Demo Day, during which DemystData CEO & Founder Mark Hookey presented the company’s key offering to an audience of 300 financial services executives and venture capitalists at the Bank of America Tower at Bryant Park.

During this presentation, Mark highlighted how insights received as part of the FinTech Innovation Lab led DemystData to narrow its offering down to two flagship services:

  • DemystLabs, which offers a secure sandbox to accelerate data testing and custom solution design. The lab has already allowed customers to reduce data testing costs by 75% and evaluate 10 times more sources.
  • The DemystGateway, a single platform to access the world’s data with greater ease, speed and compliance. The platform enables a 90% boost in time to data usage and reduces third-party data management costs by 30%.

DemystData was one of eight companies selected this year by senior technology executives from the following 16 financial institutions: Ally Financial; American Express; American International Group, Inc.; Bank of America; Barclays; BlackRock; Capital One; Citi; Credit Suisse; Deutsche Bank; Goldman Sachs; The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America; JPMorgan Chase & Co; Morgan Stanley; New York Life; and Wells Fargo. Supporting venture-capital firms include Bain Capital Ventures, Canaan Partners, Contour Venture Partners, Nyca Partners, Rho Ventures, RRE Ventures and Warburg Pincus.
