We are excited to announce that HDScores is now live on the Demyst platform. With more than 3,400 independent public health agencies across the United States, tracking the vast combination of rules and regulations can be demanding and time-consuming. HDScores has built an incredible database that covers ~75% of the United States. Data, aggregated weekly from publicly available inspection reports, exists for 42 states (1,743 counties). To date, HDScores has flagged over 32MM violations by health departments nationwide on a total of nearly 11.5MM health inspections.
HDScores launched its subscription-based app displaying extensive health code information for a variety of businesses, including restaurants and coffee shops, across multiple regions of the U.S. Consumer demand for this kind of information came most notably during July 2018, when Yelp announced that the company would be plugging HDScores’ hygiene data into its restaurant pages on its app and website across a number of cities in the U.S., after successful tests in Florida and California.
The ensuing news storm generated over a billion media impressions for the company, proving that Health Inspections are vital to today’s consumers.
This data has long been sought by the financial services industry, particularly insurers, who will benefit significantly from incorporating this data into their commercial underwriting processes for the foodservice industry. Until now, it has been too difficult to cultivate this much disparate information at a regular interval, and many health inspections sites operate on vintage web-based technology. Now available in a consistent and consolidated format, this data offers critical insights about the operational effectiveness of food service businesses. Make sure to look up your favorite fast food establishments (Mcdonalds, Wendy’s, Burger King, Popeyes, KFC,etc.)
Be on the lookout for our weekly Data updates!
