The Pre-Sales & Solution Engineer is a member of the Business Development team who accelerates new business growth through demonstration, problem solving, and articulation of our data access and integration solution offerings. This role bridges the gap between our technology and our clients’ challenges in order to develop, customize, present, and sell our leading solutions. This position is charged with developing a thorough understanding of our prospects and customers’ business needs and effectively communicating and translating those into solutions which align to DemystData’s current and potential product.

The right candidate will have a broad range of skills including the ability to understand technical solutions, strong analytical problem solving skills, and superior written, verbal, and visual presentation abilities to effectively communicate solutions to clients. A top performer will thoroughly understand both our clients’ problems and our technology toolkit, and effectively communicate internally and externally via demonstrations and crips documentation how the toolkit can be used to address those problems and bring to life a prospective client’s vision for how they are able to better leverage information to achieve outsized returns and optimize key business metrics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support sales team throughout end to end process to better serve prospective clients:
    1. Refine needs analysis
    2. Define, document, and demonstrate solutions
    3. Analyze and quantify solution benefits
    4. Accelerate prospect go/no-go evaluation
  • Configure and deliver bespoke demonstrations to suit target segments and clients
  • Develop customized SOWs and project plans
  • Build custom demonstrations and proof-of-concept mocks to demonstrate key customer use cases
  • Determine customer implementation requirements and appropriate delivery & deployment plans in partnership with internal teams
  • Assess client needs and resources to recommend the appropriate solution
  • Provide consultative technical support for pre-sales, partners and customers
  • Present at trade shows, seminars, and help train internally to optimize technical sales demonstrations
  • Become an evangelist educating prospective and existing clients on the benefits of the Demyst toolkit
  • Present technology to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrate passion for working with others (both internal and external)
  • Liaise with Product Managers to provide feedback from clients about product requirements or ideas to help them innovate and stay ahead

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university, technical degree or related work experience preferred
  • 3-5 years combined experience in some combination of consulting, financial services, pre-sales, technology, or solution design
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to problem solve independently
  • Autonomous, results oriented with flexibility to collaborate
  • Ego-less, team player mindset and approach
  • Strong alignment with core company values
  • Strong Google and MS suite skills
  • Technical background a plus
